Vasant Vihar

Vasant Vihar is an up market neighborhood located in South Delhi, which houses many foreign missions. Vasant Vihar is one of the most prestigious and exclusive residential area has the most luxurious shopping malls in Asia; the Emporio and DLF Promenade.

Vasant Vihar is relatively close to the domestic/international airport and become even closer after constructions of the new flyovers. These flyovers and development on the National Highway no. 8 has also brought it to much closer to Gurgaon, now hub for almost all the Multinational Companies, up market brands, malls, cinemas, restaurants etc.

The three main streets in Vasant Vihar are Munirka Marg, Poorvi Marg and Paschimi Marg, literally Eastern and Western Street that along Palam Marg form a rough triangle that encloses much of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is primarily residential and consisted of six blocks named A to F, with each block having its own local market. Houses located on (Palam Marg) consist of some of the most expensive real estate in the NCR region.

Vasant Vihar also includes the Basant Lok market which now has many multi-national chain stores, restaurants and newly-opened lounges. The market also contains the movie theater PVR Priya and nearest hospitals are Holy Angels (Basant Lok) and Fortis (Vasant Kunj). Vasant Continental five star hotel is a landmark in this area.

Vasant Vihar also has few leading schools such as Sriram School, Modern School, Tagore International School, Holy Child Auxilium School (Senior branch), Delhi Public School (Junior Branch) and some highly rated pre nursery schools like Magic Years and Little Pearls etc.
